Efficiency in daily operation

At iaf 2017, Plasser Ibérica presents a universal vehicle for the maintenance of overhead lines: the DIC-30.

In the past 25 years, Plasser Ibérica has produced more than 100 OBW track motor vehicles and MTW motor tower cars in varying sizes and diverse designs. The DIC series has been a particular success. DIC stands for Dresina de Inspección de Catenaria, which means catenary inspection vehicle. The series comprises various machine models offering different equipment and outputs. Due to its flexible design, it can be used on both metro lines and other railway lines. Now, the DIC-30 will complement this series. It can be designed both as OBW or MTW.

Two versions for different requirements

Both versions of the DIC-30 are equipped with a spacious crew cabin and a modern control system, contributing to the compliance with EN standards. All key components such as wheelsets, brakes, hydraulic and pneumatic components meet the high quality standards of Plasser & Theurer machines.

The MTW version of the DIC-30 is equipped with a contact wire holding device and a crane. In addition, this version is fitted with an elevating platform with folding railings and a range of 12 m. The OBW version is equipped with a powerful work crane and a loading platform. Additionally, the vehicle can be fitted with a pantograph for contact wire measurements.

The DIC-30 is a vehicle for universal application, ensuring a high level of operating safety and setting new quality standards in its price category.
