With the CO₂ emissions calculator, Panolin proves that one can also make savings with environmentally friendly lubricants. It is a fast and simple means of identifying your lubricants’ potential for cost savings and environmental friendliness. Since the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris at the very latest, a pervasive shift in attitudes has become apparent in European business and industry. Increasingly, products entering the market are not only more environmentally friendly but also cost-efficient in the long run.
Panolin provides an excellent example. The company is one of the leading manufacturers of bio-oils. From 1985 onwards it has provided synthetic lubricants which are rapidly degradable when leaking without damage to earth or water. The extreme longevity of these oils – they last up to 20 times longer than comparable products – has always been a decisive cost advantage.
In addition, Panolin wanted to market products that would help reduce CO2 emissions directly and verifiably. With the PANOLIN ECOMOT engine oil, the company did precisely this. According to Panolin, engines greased with ECOMOT consume up to 3% less fuel. Naturally, less fuel consumption also means correspondingly fewer emissions.
