PLASSER AMERICAN

New production facility in Chesapeake opened

Plasser American’s new production facility in Chesapeake (Virginia) officially opened on 5 October 2023. The company moved from Illinois to Chesapeake in 1970. Investing in the new production facility is a clear sign of commitment to the location and to the future of the railway system in North America. This production facility is Plasser American’s last step of a multi-stage investment project that already reached a first milestone in 2022 with the opening of the office building. Thanks to state-of-the-art technology used in the 7,500 m² workshop area, capacity will increase and the North American site will be further expanded.
