FRANZ PLASSER

New assembly workshop sets standards for technological progress

After a construction period of barely a year, the new assembly workshop of Franz Plasser Vermietung von Bahnbaumaschinen Gesellschaft mbH went into operation in spring 2024.

The new assembly workshop provides sufficient space and a cutting edge infrastructure for putting the E³ fleet into operation. Servicing and maintenance work is also carried out. The state-of-the-art interior makes for a comfortable working environment and increases the efficiency and productivity of our well-trained employees.

Innovative energy supply

The new workshop is supplied with energy sustainably and efficiently. An air-source heat pump in combination with a 200 kWp photovoltaic system was installed to provide heating, cooling, and hot water. This innovative system utilizes the ambient air as a renewable source of energy to provide both heating and cooling. This reduces our carbon footprint and also lowers our energy costs in the long term.

New washing bay

One of the main components of the assembly workshop is the new washing bay, which was specially designed for cleaning our track maintenance and construction machines. It is equipped with the latest technology and ensures efficient and gentle cleaning of the vehicles. Servicing and repair work is carried out after cleaning. Regular servicing and maintenance ensures that the machines are always ready for use and in top condition.

Crew area

Another highlight of the new assembly workshop is the innovative crew area. This includes high-quality showers and changing rooms. A common room and an office area were also set up. Investing in working conditions for our employees shows our commitment to a positive corporate culture and a sustainable future.
