For the second time, Plasser & Theurer participated in the event as technological partner to introduce latest technologies and the comprehensive offer.
Digitisation, innovation and sustainability

“The Railway Forum is an excellent platform for exchange on current topics such as digitisation, innovation and sustainability.” This is how Uwe Günther, CPO, Deutsche Bahn AG, summarised the focus of the event. 1,100 participants from management and expert positions in the railway supply industry participated in the event. It goes without saying that Plasser & Theurer was among the 135 exhibitors. Our offer met the industry’s pressing demands.
First flash-butt welding on road/rail truck attracts attention

For several decades, Plasser & Theurer’s flash-butt welding machines have been used in the USA. For the first time, we have mounted the APT 1500 R welding robot on a road/rail truck in the USA. At Railway Interchange, the largest railway exhibition and technical conference in North America, we introduced the new APT 1500 RL flash-butt welding machine to the audience for the first time (see also "APT 1500 RL: via the highway to the work site").
Unimat 09-4x4/4S E³: technology and design highlight

TRAKO is the largest and most prestigious event in Poland’s railway industry. We welcomed our customers and visitors at a stand shared with Deutsche Plasser and Robel. A real highlight: the Unimat 09-4x4/4S E³ hybrid universal tamping machine in the new machine design put on show on our outdoor exhibition grounds.
Three days of conference and large exhibition with record attendance

Attended by more than 350 exhibitors and over 2,500 visitors, AusRAIL PLUS 2017 of the Australian Railway Association (ARA) was a huge success. Plasser Australia used the opportunity to introduce digital innovations on our machines and the comprehensive offer for after-sales services, spare parts and support, including the overhaul of machines and components, with a particular focus on the rail industry in New Zealand and Australia.
Hybrid drive technology and electrically powered tamping units impressed the audience
29 November to 1 December 2017, Chiba/Tokyo, Japan
The 2017 MTI Japan covered a broad spectrum of vehicle technology in rolling stock and track construction and maintenance. Plasser & Theurer participated together with Nippon Plasser. The presentation of our E³ machines and digital offers was met with great interest. In three days, 32,000 visitors attended the trade fair. Compared to the 2015 MTI this is a massive increase by 15 %.
