Information on the processing of your personal data

The Plasser & Theurer today app provides you with access to Plasser & Theurer’s customer magazine. The digital customer magazine provides you with news from around the world, information on technologies, services, trade shows and congresses as well as information on special key topics. In addition, the today app allows you to access interactive and multimedia contents, such as videos, picture galleries, 3D displays and interactive charts.

Protecting your personal data is a major concern to us. Please take a moment to read the following information on data processing:

Processing and using your personal data
To enable you to access the information in the today app and to use the multimedia database, we process your user data in anonymous form.

Push Notifications
You can choose to register for push notifications. Push notifications provide you with messages about news regarding the app. The Push Notification feature is operated by OneSignal, 2194 Esperanca Avenue, Santa Clara, CA 95054, USA. To send push notifications, an anonymised identifier is assigned to you. Data is sent in encrypted form as a push notification to the today app installed on your end device.

Analysis services
The today app uses features of the analysis service Google Analytics of Google Inc. („Google“). Google Analytics is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. The relation to Google Analytics is governed by the US Privacy Shield.

Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files which are stored on your computer and allow for an analysis of your use of the app. The information generated by cookies (including your IP address) is transferred to and stored by Google on a server in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the app (e.g. search terms entered), compiling reports on app activities for app operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may transfer this information to third parties, where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.

For this app Google Analytics was extended to include the code "anonymizeIp" to protect your data and to ensure an anonymized collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).

You can prevent the storage of cookies by activating the corresponding setting on your browser. However, please be advised that if you opt out of using cookies you may not be able to fully use all features of this app.

Duration of storage / deletion
The expiration time of cookies set by Google Analytics is between ten minutes and two years.

Data transfer
As a matter of principle, we do not transfer your data to third parties, subject to the exceptions mentioned above.

Your rights
You have the right to revoke your consent at any time by sending an email to export@plassertheurer.com. In the event that such a revocation shall be made, the app can no longer be used. In addition, you have the rights of access, rectification, deletion, restriction, data portability and objection. Please contact us if you wish to use your rights.

If you are of the opinion that the processing of your data violates data protection regulations or that your data protection rights have been violated in another way, you can file a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria the competent supervisory authority is the Data Protection Authority [Datenschutzbehörde].
