Two machines for Swedish newcomer

Infraservice Group Scandinavian AB has evolved to become a successful competitor in the Swedish track construction market within a short time. In March 2017, the young company received its first two Plasser & Theurer machines.

Nässjö is the only city in Sweden where six railway lines still meet today. Until recently, the Swedish Railways operated workshops and training facilities there. Now, Infraservice Group Scandinavian AB provides a fresh stimulus with a complete service offer for track construction.

Big party for iron man and iron woman

On 28 March 2017, the young company was presented with its first two Plasser & Theurer machines: a Unimat 08-475/4S cyclic action universal tamping machine with 3-rail lifting and 4-rail tamping, and a USP 2000 SWS ballast profiling machine. The new customers celebrated the handover with an impressive event, attended by around 140 persons. High-level politicians from the region, partners and representatives of competitors had been invited. The naming ceremony of the two machines was among the highlights of the atmospheric event. Now, the Unimat 08-475/4S bears the name “Iron man”, and the USP 2000 SWS carries the name “Iron woman”.

A great honour for Plasser & Theurer

On the occasion of the handover, Roman Wiesinger, Plasser & Theurer, had the opportunity to introduce our company to a highly interested audience. Roman Wiesinger: “In Sweden, Plasser & Theurer has been known for high-quality track machines for a long time. This why it was an even greater pleasure to introduce our latest developments to such a large audience.” In addition to the above machines, two more machines were supplied to Sweden in 2017: In February, BCA Entrepenad AB received an 08-275/4-ZW on/off-track tamping machine, and in March, a Unimat 09-4x4/4S was handed over to Svensk Maskinpool AB.
